As those of you who have read previous blogs on this site will be aware DMA Law recently set up DMA Accident Angels.
For those of you who have not heard of this before, DMA Accident Angels is an accident management scheme set up in conjunction with Unique Claims solutions. The idea is that all aspects of dealing with the damaged vehicle following an accident are taken care of by making one phone call to the DMA Accident Angels helpline number, 0800 023 6233.
Not only is there the convenience of a single organisation dealing with everything for you, vehicle recovery, a replacement vehicle and the repair of your vehicle, but without having to pay your excess. As all the costs are recovered from the at-fault driver’s insurers the impact that there might have been on your own insurance is avoided.
I was looking at the website of a company who supply a similar service the other day. They have an accident management company and a law firm to deal with injury claims. There the similarity ends!
The company boasts on its website that it deals with 300,000 incidents (I assume annually), 200,000 repairs and 100,000 injuries. In order to achieve this they handle 2,000,000 calls!
Now, I am not suggesting for a moment that companies like the one above do not provide a good service but the service will be delivered in a very different way to that which is delivered by DMA Accident Angels and DMA Law.
