I have worked at DMA Law since 2012 after graduating from a four-year degree at Northumbria University. I qualified as a solicitor in December 2016 and specialise in all areas of Family Law including divorce, separation, domestic abuse, and disputes regarding children. In 2022 I received a Family Law Accreditation from the Law Society, demonstrating a high level of knowledge and expertise across Family Law. From 2014 until 2023 I worked as an out of hours police station representative, working across the Northeast assisting clients at their time of arrest until their release from custody. In 2021 I became Family Department Manager and in October 2024 I became the Director of Family Law. As of April 2025, I have taken on the role of Legal Aid Liaison Officer for the whole of the firm.
In particular I enjoy representing clients in their divorce, and assisting through what is a very difficult time with realistic and clear advice. I have conducted my own court advocacy throughout my career from directions hearings up to and including final hearings, often across multiple days. My approach is professional but approachable, understanding that I am assisting people in emotionally charged situations who require patience and compassion.
Charlotte is one of the firm’s supervisors, and oversees and supports others in her team.
