I joined the Finance Team at DMA Law in August 2020 with 20 years of legal finance experience having previously worked for a large commercial firm in Newcastle and a smaller Family Law practice in the centre of Newcastle. I was promoted to Finance Manager in 2021 and was appointed as the firms COFA (Compliance Officer for Finance & Administration) in 2023. I am responsible for the smooth running of the finance team and I am responsible for ensuring that our financial policies and procedures are compliant with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and that they protect any money that our clients entrust us with.
I hold the ILFM (Institute of Legal Finance & Management) Diploma and was the 2019 recipient of their Wilfred Owen Award which is awarded to the student with the highest overall pass mark.
Outside of work I am a keen runner, having completed two marathons and numerous half marathons and other race distances. I am a qualified run leader and regularly lead training sessions with my local running club. I’m not the fastest runner but that’s why I like running, it doesn’t matter how fast you go, only that you had the courage to start.
