I have worked in customer service for over 40 years, working in a large department store in Newcastle before moving over to HMRC and their former partners where I gained 37 years of experience in National Insurance. Following my early retirement from HMRC, it dawned on me that I was not ready to be a lady of leisure!
I work in the Consett office, where I manage the Front of House as well as being a Call Advisor – it keeps me keep motivated and I enjoy interacting with various clients both in person and via telephone, enabling me to continue to use my customer service knowledge.
Outside of work I am married with two sons and 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, I love to travel and am keeping the ladies in Hays Travel Agents (which is next door to the Consett office) busy – I think the husband is thinking of taking my debit card off me!
