I qualified as a solicitor in 2016 and chose to move to DMA for its fantastic reputation (for both clients and staff) and also the opportunity to specialise in the field of my choice – child protection work. Since then, I have progressed from the role of Solicitor, to Department Manager in 2018, and most recently to Director of Childcare in 2024.
I am a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel whereby I am authorised to represent children in court proceedings. I regularly appear in courts across the Northeast of England and thoroughly enjoy my job – no day is the same. I love working alongside clients and professionals to make a difference to the lives of children. Myself and my colleagues at DMA Law have a strong team which enables us to work together and support one another in this very busy, fast paced and often complex field of law.
Sophie is one of the firm’s supervisors, and oversees and supports others in her team.
