DMA Law has added new offices and staff to its roster by amalgamating with the Giles Hunter Partnership (GHP).
The move will see GHP operating as part of DMA Law. DMA already had offices in Darlington, Chester le Street, Consett, Sunderland, Peterlee, Hartlepool, and now includes the GHP offices in Chester le Street and Consett as part of its roster.
The existing DMA Law Durham office will be relocated to Chester le Street, where GHP enjoys a central location and greater accessibility to clients.
The GHP branches have operated as part of DMA Law since the start of August, but will retain their own branding for the foreseeable future to ensure a smooth changeover.
Julie Mathieson, managing partner at DMA Law, said: “This is an exciting move that brings together two reputable and well-established North East law firms. GHP has been offering legal services in the area for around 30 years, so they will make a significant addition to the DMA Law family.
“GHP’s areas of strength are areas in which DMA Law has been looking to grow, while our existing services will complement those that GHP has traditionally offered. It’s a chance for both businesses to develop as part of DMA Law. This gives us a great opportunity, and platform, to develop further.
“The geographical advantages are clear, too: this allows us to bring our services to a whole new client base in new parts of County Durham.”
